If no measures are taken to change the status quo, it will take approximately 100 years for the Australian business community to have at least 40% of the CEO positions in the 300 listed companies on the ASX300 index of the Australian Securities Exchange held by women.
The latest Chief Executive Women (CEW) survey results show that the largest companies in the country have actually regressed in appointing female executives.
The census results show that compared to this time last year, more ASX300 listed companies have no women in their management and leadership teams (16% in 2022, compared to 15% in 2021).
